I've heard the woman was very pleasant, that's why I asked. So would the top box  be the Givi type also? I can't believe they made them so you can't use both at the same time. I'm assuming the panniers are top opening then?

What color was the XCx? Spoken for?

Where did you hear that there was a pannier/top box issue? They look like they open forward or back or can be set to have the lids lift off. The picture on Triumphs website sure looks like there is plenty of clearance to do either.

I used the configuration tool on the Triumph site.  At the shop, I asked, and the woman said there were 2 hinge configurations, only one of them worked with the top box.

this will take you to the configuration page.  Eat some crackers first so you don't salivate on your keyboard.

I think it was the way I was using the page, I tried to put 2 top cases on at the same time.  There is a discount for getting the top case and panniers at the same time, the luggage does not look like the Givi stuff, and there are two distinct types of panniers, top opening and side opening.

I guess the Givi panniers are called the Expedition Aluminum Panniers.

I think it was black or dark grey.  They told me the XRx was coming in black too.

Yes, those were the panniers, in either brushed aluminum or black.

Yeah both models come in blue, white and black.

Looks like they still offer the luggage like I had which was actually pretty good stuff.

I like your luggage, it fits the bike well.  I just have to decide if I want black or aluminum.  I'll have to watch the Dakar traffic cam and see what they are using there.

I sold my panniers. I had the plastic stuff, not the nice new Expedition series. The plastic stuff is perfectly fine for road use and mine was 100% waterproof.

The Dakar huh? I'll bet you'll see a lot of Touratech, Holan and Bumont stuff out there.
