A couple of them are reachable.  Back before they cleaned up Times Square, I  used to take the PATH train over (35 cents) and spend the day at the penny arcades.
NH and NJ are certainly doable.  (Not sure it is ever worth it to ride to NJ though)

I have to agree on NJ. But I've read about the place up in NH and it looks pretty cool. This would be way up my ally.

Time to start tossing out ideas for future rides.  After the holidays there will be a couple lunches to gather opinions on what we might do in the coming season.
Looks like the "long ride" will be Great Lakes, including Canada, Passport required.  Weekend selections are still up in the air.  Food destinations always welcome, and past suggestions will make the list insofar as I can find them.

This is a good place as any as it refers to "next year". Long story short. I'm taking the plunge and tossing in the towel and moving to Georgia mid January ish. Jan 9th is my last "official" employed date here in liberal Malloy ville! Staying with my parents till things settle job wise hoping to find something before I leave BUT as most of you know without being there for physical interviews its REALLY hard to get anything soooo. Ironically #1 in Alabama is 75 miles from where I will be initially! :D

I'll miss you, Taz.  I've much enjoyed your perspective on things--and appreciated your views on a range of social and political issues.  In addition to your views on motorcycles and motorcycling.  Great sense of humor too.  Didn't even seem to mind the occasional Polish joke!  Best wishes.

You would think Mossy! They are in the 20s over night this last week too!  :o And indeed Ken but at least you won't have to deal with my shitty grammar anymore!  :naughty: I'll still poke in from time to time I'm sure! Whenever/if you guys decide to do another down south run let me know! I can always try to meet up with you guys wherever even if its just for a few days!  :P

The subject had come up about the 1000 mile radius from Hartford vs Houston.  I'm reposting for the curious.

There is some fine early season riding in Tennessee and Kentucky, and great mid season riding in Indiana, Illinois and Ohio.
