Will it be returned to stock, mildly custom, or something with a Texas attitude?

El Guapo 2.  new and improved.   most likely stock.
this is how I picked it up. the guy took it all apart and decided he didn't like it.
and I put out  $150 for this exploded view of a gold wing.  :D

'79 . . . Was that when the Gold Wing looked like a muscular "standard" bike?  No fairing, no passenger throne, flat saddle?  I really liked that look.  But I'm not sure how long ago they looked like that.

Was it a 4-cylinder 1000-cc engine back then?

In any case, enjoy your new bike!

Maybe in Texas they say, "That would be a good summer project."

Engine has typical failure.  Alternator bolt backed out, ceased on the case.  Cylinders need a resurfacing.

Like your organization of parts ;)

ya, I thought the same after taking this photo, I'll get it done.  I always manage somehow, its a process.  :)  and I always manage to have a minimum of "extra" parts...
