Harley-Davidson Breakout vs. Victory Jackpot vs. Star Raider Comparison Test

I'm disappointed....it's not a shoot out!

Those poor guys at Polaris' Victory division.  They must be feeling awfully neglected these days--completely upstaged (in the public eye) by their new baby brother.  It was nice of Cycle World to show them they're not entirely forgotten.

(Note that I'm talking about publicity.  I'm not disparaging Victory's motorcycles.)

Not that I'm biased but... I almost got a FZ1 and disagree with most of the below and noted why. Also insurance on FZ1 is tons higher usually as some consider it a sport bike and not a standard. Then theirs the stolen factor more chances with a FZ! I live in Hartford so need to minimize stuff as much as possible! ;)

Dated styling - Your not buying the Bandit 1250 primarily for its looks if you were then lol
Heavy clutch pull - The FZ1 is cable and the Bandit is hydraulic and I have sensitive wrists so either they had a lemon or put that in the wrong bikes "Con" area!
Clackity-clack twistgrip (tighten tolerances, please) - Lemon part deux!? Or maybe they didn't know that you can adjust the throttle play manually like EVERY other bike and wherever they got it from screwed up! lol

You know, when I read the posts on the New England Riders forum, I don't see the Moderator--or anyone else--constantly sneering at Harley-Davidsons and similar bikes.  Why do I see it so much here?

NER is loaded with V twin guys.  I have  V twin, just not the same kind of V twin.  Those bikes have their place, and those that want to ride them enjoy them to their fullest I am sure, but I have a very sportbike attitude. That said, I do not single you out, you just notice it.
Go to BORN, you will find I am nice compared to them.

Maybe you should just relish the personalized attention, such as it is.

Once again, if you wish to be a moderator, feel free to contact Jerry and Jay.  I may have a bad attitude about absolutely everything, but that is not going to change.
