LOL. I don't care what they say. If your running boost or heavily modified then a knock sensor won't pull that much timing to save the motor as it wasn't designed for that much pull back especially when boosted! ;)

My oil is better than your oil, I live where they grow it!

Yeah...I could never tell if you were running soy oil or olive oil in that bike of yours!

I thought the slant they gave on the oil was different enough to print without being prescriptive enough to tell you what to do.  I like choices, and waas wondering about BMW's use of high viscosity oils in their 800 series.

Nice article--thanks for the link.

I think their advice could be summed up in one word: RTFM!  Or for German motorcycles: RTFM ... und obey!

Heck, you don't need a manual for torque!  Just tighten until the bolt head shears off, then back it out 1/8 turn.   :)

Italian tune up. Down shift and WOT pull to redline once in awhile. No need to buy crap that will ruin your seals, etc.! :D Anybody remember the RX7s? If you babied them you actually broke them because the carbon would build up and fall into the motor and destroy it! ;)

I had a friend that swore by the Italian tune up (even though he was a Pole), but felt the need to do it several times a night.

As I recall, the RX-7s were always trying to destroy themselves at the tip of the rotating piston.
