Oh I think I know of the place you're talking about in Guilford/Madison...Don't remember the name though.  Were the tree stumps outdoors?  I remember seeing a place and everyone was outside.  Looked interesting..

2UP is a no go for me, but I could potentially be in for a ride.

What's the name of the place in either Madison or Guilford, it's on Route 1, tree stump tables and chairs. Can't remember what was good eats, just remember it being unique? It might not even be there anymore, I'm thinking back 20-30 yrs now :o

And there is a place just over the old singing bridge in Westbrook, red building on the north side of the road, supposedly good roadside seafood.

Lenny and Joes is good but can often be filled with lots of blue hairs eating up the early bird special.

If you guys decide to do Harry's on Sunday you might want to do a little side trip down through Devils Hopyard from the Lake Haywood end (just outside of Colchester). All back road riding, slow ride if you don't know the area.
Sunday might be do able for me.

Sit your rump on a stump? I think it's called "The Place."

Ok, I'll be at Harry's around noon. I'm not planning any specific ride but I'll be there to stuff my face a bit. Anyone here who would like to join me and hang out for a chat, you're more than welcome. I'll be the cave man riding the blue Kawasaki Vulcan.

Your right, it was "The Place".
Is it still there?

Since there appears to be a whole punch of new members here on CTRiders, I thought that we could get some more voices piping in on roadside eaterys from around the state. Give us your favorites and what they do best. Maybe we can put a ride togther that does a big loop and gets breakfast, lunch and dinner in or fries at one spot, o rings at another, chili dogs at another, chocolate ice cream at one, coffee ice cream at another, strawberry at another (just for you Gerry). Well..... you get the picture.

I still like Harry's in Colchester for burgers
Murphys in Columbia for Chili dogs
             Salem for Ice cream

Isn't there one of those also in RI? I can remember going to one with my parents a long time ago.

I was pretty young so I don't even really recall it. I just remember the name.

The RI one isn't nearly as old as the Madison or Westbook ones. I don't remember when it opened, but I don't think it was all that long ago.
